Vanessa Hessler Biography, Profile, Bio
Vanessa Hessler Biography: Take one look at Vanessa Hessler and you'll immediately understand why the statuesque beauty has been compared favorably to Swedish actress Anita Ekberg. Born in Rome on January 21, 1988 to an Italian mother and an American father, Vanessa has spent much of her life modeling. Although only 18, Vanessa has already appeared in ads for Calvin Klein and Giorgio Armani, and has done runway work for Fendi and Gattinoni. She has worked with celebrities like Claudia Schiffer, and her gorgeous face has graced the covers of TV Spielfilm in Germany and GQ in Italy. In fact, Vanessa is just about everywhere you go in Italy, thanks to a wide-ranging series of promotional ads and billboards. We're sure no one has any complaints about her attempt to single-handedly keep the country beautiful. More than just another pretty face, Vanessa made her big-screen debut in 2005 in the Italian madcap comedy Natale a Miami. The story of two men who flee to Florida for Christmas after being dumped by their wives was such a hit in Italy that it outgrossed King Kong and The Chronicles of Narnia in its opening weekend. Although it is unlikely to do much business beyond Italy, the film has helped make Vanessa a star in her homeland thanks to her hilarious role as an underage nympho.

Catherine Zeta Jones Biography

Catherine Zeta Jones Biography
Catherine Zeta Jones - sexy celebrity BiographyCatherine Zeta-Jones

Birth Date: January 25, 1969
Birth Place: Swansea, Wales

Catherine Zeta-Jones hails from Mumbles, Wales (a tiny fishing village just outside Swansea in the UK), where she was born September 25, 1969. Her name stems from two different grandmothers; one grandmother is named Catherine, while the other is "Zeta", named after a ship Catherine's grandfather sailed on.

Although Zeta- Jones was not known in the U.S. until her role in The Mask of Zorro in 1998, she was a well-known star in her native U.K. Zeta-Jones played the lead in a production of the musical Annie at 11 years of age, and starred in a West End production of Bugsy Malone two years later. At age 17, Zeta-Jones nabbed the lead role in 42nd Street after having moved to London in order to pursue an acting career. Once the show closed, Zeta-Jones traveled to France, where she received the lead role in French director Phillippe De Broca's Scheherazade, her feature film debut.

Zeta-Jones' big break came upon her return to England in 1991, when she became a regular on the hugely popular British television series The Darling Buds of May. Her role as the eldest daughter of a farm family increased her star status in the U.K. The price celebrities must pay is being featured in the tabloids, and Zeta-Jones became a tabloid favorite, constantly hounded by the paparazzi. Once the intrusiveness of the media became unbearable, she decided to take her life and career across the Atlantic.

Although a sex symbol and celebrity in the U.K. , it took a while for Zeta-Jones to break into the Hollywood scene. In 1994, she landed the lead role in CBS's Return of the Native, and gave a remarkable performance in her role as Catherine in the miniseries Catherine the Great. It wasn't until Zeta-Jones' role in the four-hour television docudrama Titanic that Americans would soon learn why she was famous across the pond, one year before Leo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet came along.

Steven Spielberg noticed her in the mini-series and thought she would be perfect for the female lead in The Mask of Zorro, which Spielberg was producing. Spielberg knew what he was talking about, and he wasn't the only one who was impressed; audiences and critics liked what they saw in the role opposite Antonio Banderas. Audiences probably wondered where this beauty popped up from, since they had never before heard of the Welsh star, who was often mistaken for Spanish.

At the 1998 Oscars, Zeta-Jones stood out on the red carpet, looking ravishing. If she wasn't yet noticed after The Mask of Zorro, her appearance at the Oscars made head turns.

The summer of 1999, Zeta-Jones appeared opposite Sean Connery in the summer action film Entrapment. The same summer, Zeta-Jones took on the role of Theo in The Haunting, Dreamworks' adaptation of the 1963 horror of the same name, joining cast members Liam Neeson and Lili Taylor.

Actor Michael Douglas first met Zeta-Jones at a Film Festival, and apparently told her that he wants to father her children during their first date. As if a premonition, Zeta-Jones married Douglas in November 2000, and had their first child, Dylan Michael. The married couple actually share the same birthdate, albeit not the same year.

Zeta-Jones was recently seen in the comedy High Fidelity, starring John Cusack, and the Oscar-winning movie Traffic. She was also seen with Julia Roberts in America's Sweethearts.

Her role in the musical Chicago brought her an Oscar (this makes the Douglas family the only couple in entertainment where both husband and wife have won an Oscar). She was 9 months pregnant with their second child at the Oscar's, so soon we'll see the new member of the family.

Jennifer Lopez Biography

Jennifer Lopez
jennifer lopez biographyJennifer Lopez was born on July 24, 1970. Her parents came to New York from Ponce, Puerto Rico. Jennifer Lopez is the middle of three sisters.

Jennifer Lopez went on her first tour - around New York City with her dance class at the age of 7. At the age of 16 Jennifer got a little break with a bit part in the film ''My Little Girl'' (starring Mary Stuart Masterson).

Her first love was still dance, and when she read about a scholarship to a dance school in Manhattan, she went down and grabbed the opportunity. At this time she was taking a full time course load at Baruch, working in a law office and taking her dance classes. Eventually this would lead to a falling out with her mother, who didn't want Jennifer to pursue dance as a career. When her mother gave her the ever popular ''you live by my rules as long as you live under my roof'' speech Jennifer took that as her cue to break out on her own. Not having anywhere else to live, she took up residence in the building where she took her dance classes. A year and a half of auditioning with no success brought Jennifer to the verge of a breakdown. But salvation would come in the form of a tour that sent her dancing across Japan. Before this, she had auditioned to be a ''Fly Girl'' for the show ''In Living Color'' but she had been turned down.

Jennifer Lopez, on her way back from Japan, she received a call from ''In Living Color'' asking her to audition again. This time she made the cut and it was off to Hollywood. She didn't really enjoy her time on ''In Living Color'', as she longed for an acting career that would put her in the spotlight. Her first television job as an actress, on the Fox series ''South Central'' came her way because the producer of the show was married to one of the other fly girls, and he took notice of Jennifer during a special Fox aired about the Fly Girls. ''South Central'' only survived one season, but she quickly resurfaced on television screens appearing as ''Melinda Lopez'' first in the short lived ''Second Chances'' series, then ''Hotel Malibu.'' In 1995 she jumped onto the big screen in her first major role, opposite Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson in ''Money Train.'' She would go on to work opposite such talents as Robin Williams and Jack Nicholson, but it was her work with Gregory Nava, who directed her in ''My Family, Mi Familia'' that would lead her to the role that would make her a star.

Jennifer Lopez was chosen to play Selena Quintanilla Perez, in the official biopic of the life of the fallen Tejano star. Taking part in the production of ''Selena'' would impact Jennifer's life in many ways. On the personal side, Jennifer's fiancéé, Ojani Noa, proposed to her at the wrap party for Selena. The couple had met in Miami while Jennifer was filming ''Blood And Wine'' with Jack Nicholson. Ojani, a Cuban immigrant, was an aspiring model working as a waiter at Gloria Estefan's restaurant, Larios On The Beach. They were married in Miami on February 22, 1997, after knowing each other less than a year. Jennifer's sudden rise to fame with the release of ''Selena'' the following month would put an excessive strain on the marriage, and the couple filed for divorce just a little over a year after they were married.

After news of the divorce made headlines, the gossip papers quickly had her romantically linked to the likes of rap impresario Sean ''Puffy'' Combs, Sony Music President Tommy Mottola and Salsa singer Marc Anthony. Jennifer herself remains tightlipped - and rightfully so - on the subject of her personal life (although she has recently admitted that she is in fact having a relationship with Puffy). Back on the professional level, her role as Karen Sisco in 1998's ''Out Of Sight'', opposite George Clooney, has brought her into the major leagues, making her the highest paying Latina actress in history.

Playing Selena also brought back Jennifer's interests in being the ''all around'' entertainer, and she decided to record a demo of her singing, completely in Spanish. After a bidding war among a number of record companies, Jennifer was signed to Sony Music's Work Group label. Her first CD, a pop album with a Latin flavor (although mostly in English) was released June 1, 1999. Working with the likes of Emilio Estefan, Rodney Jerkins and Sean ''Puffy'' Combs, the music world is buzzing that Jennifer is ''the next Gloria Estefan'' set to become the mainstream Latin crossover star Selena herself surely would have been, had she been given the chance. That early prediction seems accurate, as her first single, ''If You Had My Love'' shot to 1 on the Billboard chart, and has been certified platinum (one million sales).

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra - Biography

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra - Biography
Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra - Biography
Priyanka Chopra, armed with long legs and the Miss World crown, followed the precedent set by other beauty contest winners by joining the Bollywood bandwagon.

The Nomadic Mimi
Priyanka Ashok Chopra was born on 18 July 1982 in Jamshedpur and is fondly known as Mimi. Her father is Capt. Dr.Ashok Chopra and her mother is Dr.Madhu Chopra. She has a younger brother, Siddharth. Her father’s origin is a mix of Punjabi, Bengali, and Marathi while her mother’s is a mix of Tamil, Malayali, and Kannada.

Her family was always on the move as her father was in the army. Few of her growing up years were spent in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. She studied at the La Martiniere Girl’s School in Lucknow before re-locating to the United States of America. While there, she studied at the Newton North High School in Massachusetts and later in North Delta Senior Secondary School in North Delta. On returning back to India, she continued her schooling in the Army School at Bareilly. She joined the Jai Hind College in Mumbai but dropped out when she won the second place in the Miss India beauty pageant. She went on to bring home the Miss World crown in 2000, becoming one of the five Indians to have won that title.

Priyanka was dating Harman Baweja. They were seen together in Love Story 2050. The couple broke up. Though it was never official, it is said that she was dating Shahid Kapoor, her co-star from Kaminey. Gerard Butler was supposedly enamoured by her and even proposed to Chopra during a party.

Belle of Bollywood
Priyanka Chopra’s first film was in Tamil. Thamizhan released in 2002. This was followed by two films The Hero: Love Story of a Spy and Andaaz. Her part in the latter won her the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. In 2004, she met with success in Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Aitraaz, which was inspired by the Hollywood hit Disclosure. Her performance as Mrs Sonia Roy was recognized with the Filmfare Best Villain Award. Her biggest hit in 2005 was Bluffmaster with Abhishek Bachchan.

In 2006, she starred in two of the year’s biggest box office successes like Krrish with Hrithik Roshan and Don – The Chase Begins Again with Shahrukh Khan. Her consequent releases in 2007 like Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love and Big Brother were flops. The year 2008 was no better. She starred in big budget movies like the sci-fi Love Story 2050 with Harman Baweja, God Tussi Great Ho with Salman Khan and Drona with Abhishek Bachchan. None of these movies matched the set expectations.

In 2008, she played Meghna Mathur, a small-town girl who tastes success in the glamour industry in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion. Her performance was delivered with such conviction that she walked away with the Filmfare Best Actress Award. The comedy, Dostana, with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan also did well.

She began 2009 in an item number for Billu. She wow-ed the audience in Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee? with Harman Baweja, in which she was seen in twelve different looks, each representing a zodiac sign. In Kaminey, she did justice to her role as Sweety and was seen completely transformed into a Marathi Mulgi.

Starring Priyanka
Priyanka Chopra and Uday Chopra will play the beauty and the beast respectively in Pyaar Impossible (2010). She will also play a black widow of sorts in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Seven Husbands (2010).
